Gloria Solar Co., Ltd.生耀光電成立於西元2006年8月，結合台灣汽車業裕隆集團、太陽能電池廠益通光能、智融(宏碁)集團智基創投、台灣車用天窗龍頭信昌機械等領域的領導廠商，跨足太陽能產品領域發展。2007年Gloria Solar與益通集團併購美國上游矽晶圓廠ADEMA Technologies，跨足太陽能上游矽晶佈局。並於同年成立美國太陽能系統事業，跨足下游系統整合佈局。2009年成立Gloria Solar (Europe)，致力於歐洲太陽能系統與發電設備市場之佈局。並整合成生耀光電國際控股公司Gloria Solar International Holding, Inc., (“GIH”)，顯示Gloria Solar於太陽能產業鏈垂直整合佈局的企圖。
